The Marketing and Brand Director is a strategic visionary who propels the evolution of our brand and actively shapes and drives our company culture.

This pivotal role involves defining our brand voice, crafting innovative strategies, and leveraging data insights to guide our company towards its strategic goals.

By amplifying our brand identity and reinforcing our leadership position within our sector, this role is instrumental in our growth journey.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Brand and Marketing strategist to play a vital role in shaping our business, influencing our culture, and bringing us closer to our customers than ever before.

Main tasks

General

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers and Board to support delivery of Magenta’s purpose, vision, values and corporate plan.
  • Design and deliver business targets, objectives and plans that support Magenta’s corporate strategies and requirements.
  • Lead, inspire, and support teams to deliver excellent results.
  • Promote and sustain a strong culture in line with Magenta’s values.
  • Optimise the potential of colleagues through development, supporting recruitment and talent management activities that strengthen business capability.
  • Invest in continuing professional development activities, ensure that key skills and knowledge remain relevant and up to date.
  • Support and deputise for the Executive Leadership Team as and when required.

Defining and Evolving Brand Voice

  • Build an authentic and compelling brand voice that aligns with our purpose, vision, and values, and resonates with our customers and communities.
  • Implement strategies for consistent and impactful communication of the brand across all touchpoints.

Creative Visionary

  • Lead innovative marketing strategies that captivate and engage audiences.
  • Empower the marketing team to explore unconventional growth avenues while maintaining strategic alignment.

Data-Driven Insights

  • Utilise data analytics to uncover customer insights and trends, translating them into actionable strategies for enhanced customer experience and business growth.

Connector of Dots

  • Identify synergies, collaborating across teams to ensure consistent and aligned messaging.

Comprehensive Strategy Development

  • Devise and execute holistic marketing strategies aligned with company objectives, considering customer behaviour and industry dynamics.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs to measure the success of marketing initiatives.

Building Awareness

  • Lead the growth of engagement through innovative strategies that foster connections and a sense of belonging.

  • Establish reputation and elevate our standing as an industry thought leader.

Your personal attributes, including required qualifications and experience:

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Marketing and management experience at a senior level.
  • Proven record in developing and implementing successful brand and marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to extract actionable insights from marketing metrics.
  • Exceptional creativity for conceiving innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues and teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A background in social housing is not important, but a commitment to the values of the sector is essential.
  • Keen awareness of industry trends.
  • A genuine passion for creating positive change.
  • Proven ability to manage resources efficiently and effectively.
  • IT literate in core Microsoft applications including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage and One Drive.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Special Requirements

  • Car owner / possession of a full driving licence.
  • Work within Magenta’s Lone Worker Policy.
